Brown, a native of Altus, Okla., was a dominating linebacker when the Bulldogs won their first and only NAIA National Football Title in 1996. He was the ringleader of a defense that routinely shut down some of the top offenses in the nation game-after-game. He finished his career with a school-record 501 tackles, including 150 in the championship year. Both totals stand today as school records. He was voted to the all-conference team an unprecedented four consecutive years -- 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996. He earned first-team NAIA All-American in each of his last three years, one of only two Bulldog football players to earn that distinction.

Brown was at his best in the biggest games. He recorded 17 tackles in the Bulldogs 33-31 NAIA Championship Game victory against Montana Tech and was named the game’s Most Valuable Player. Since then he was named to the Daily Oklahoman’s Small College All-Century football team. After his graduation in 1997, Brown has been an assistant football coach and athletic director at Weatherford and Chickasha High Schools.
