Josie (Price) Astley was recruited from Calgary, Alberta, Canada to join the SWOSU Soccer team, where she starred in the midfield for the Bulldogs from 2009-12. Her career aligned with monumental growth for SWOSU Soccer, which culminated with an undefeated regular season, the program’s first Great American Conference Championship and first NCAA Division II National Tournament berth in 2012. As a senior, she led the conference in points and assists, while ranking third with nine goals scored, as she went on to be named the GAC Offensive Player of the Year and the first NSCAA All-American in program history. Price was a four-time all-conference selection, earning honors her first two years in the Lone Star Conference before back-to-back First Team All-GAC selections. A three-time team captain, Astley graduated from SWOSU as the program’s career leader in points, assists, shots on goal and games played before going on to play professionally for FC Neunkirch Switzerland. Since then, she returned to Canada and earned a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Alberta before working as a Registered Physiotherapist and competing in local and regional CrossFit competitions. Astley is now the co-founder and owner of Concept Fit, a physiotherapy and personal training business she runs with her husband, Marcus. The couple recently welcomed their first child, a boy named Lewis.
